In the new Lost promo (posted below) with the Fray’s song “You Found Me”, this logo flashes on screen around 1:35ish. It comes up again around 2:24.

So, apparently Oceanic isn’t the only airline company we should be worried about.

I can’t wait until January 21!

The centerpiece, though, was Honolulu’s upscale preschool, The Cole Academy. Through the power of quality set signage, its ornate entrance became the door to Fieldcroft School.  Students, perhaps in their early teens, stood around with their backpacks.  Nearby, a limousine waits.

So does, I’m told, John Locke (Terry O’Quinn), Matthew Abbadon (Lance Reddick), Ben Linus (Michael Emerson)… and Walt Lloyd (Malcolm David Kelley)?  I might be taking a long lunch today to check this out!

So there it is, Lost, “lost” the Emmy… and I expected that to happen. Although Lost has a huge fan base, it lost the Emmy to Mad Men. In truth, I believe that Mad Men deserved the Emmy, and Damages would have deserved it even more. Lost is just that type of television show that keeps trying to outdo itself, and in reality, there isn’t even an award for its “every-genre” category.

Why Lost didn’t win, was simply because it could only submit one episode (“The Constant”). As UGO Tv Blog’s “Why LOST Lost” quotes:

“LOST is the televised equivalent of a novel, and as such even the best chapter is never going to represent the achievement of the story as a whole.”

To put it in a nutshell, that’s exactly why Lost didn’t win the Emmy!  It actually doesn’t even matter if Lost ever wins an Emmy, “because it all comes down to the fact that as long as LOST is succeeding at being a tradition bucking chunk of television entertainment; eluding an Emmy for best series is just further validation that it is doing what it does best:  coloring outside of the lines, and staying off the ‘business as usual’ radar screen.”

‘LOST’ is Rolling

SPOILER ALERT! Like the first blooms of spring, there’s always something heartwarming about spotting the first location shoot of a new season of “Lost.” Cameras started rolling this morning for Episode 5×01, “Because You Left,” in Kahala in East Honolulu. Shooting took place inside the private residence off Onaha Street that serves as Kate’s post-island home.

There were no sightings of Evangeline Lilly, but a couple of reports soon trickled in. One, a man in a doctor’s coat, and two, a blond toddler that “couldn’t have been older than two.” Could baby Aaron’s health post-rescue require a house call? Or did sources just happen to spot random visitors to the set? We’ll have to wait until February to find out.

Elsewhere in Honolulu, a second unit was lensing a scene requiring a group of Spanish speakers. This is only known because of loose lips at the open casting call on Saturday. Where they were, and what they were doing, remains a mystery.
